Investment Managers
We are looking to hire three Investment Managers to develop investment proposals, evaluate potential investment recipients and formulate investment strategies. In developing and evaluating proposals, Investment Managers analyse available evidence to assess whether proposed programmes will be cost-effective, meet CIFF’s strategic goals and have a significant impact. Investment Managers then continue to work closely with CIFF’s Portfolio Managers who manage CIFF-funded programs. Investment Managers are based in London and report to the Executive Director Investments, also based in London.

Executive Director Programmes
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director, Programmes (EDP) will be part of CIFF’s six-member Executive Team. The EDP will have the experience, judgment and flexibility to effectively lead and manage a team of four to six managers and their support teams based in Africa, India, and the UK, operating with a high level of analytical rigor, discipline, and ingenuity. S/he will shape the department and drive the performance of the investment portfolio through rigorous and data centric management, complemented by a willingness to challenge the status quo. S/he will drive and maintain relationships with foundations, NGO’s and political entities to continually increase the scope and scale of impact.

Portfolio Analyst
The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation is seeking to hire a Portfolio Analyst to support the Portfolio
Management team. The Portfolio Analyst will serve as support to the Executive Director, Programmes, Director,
Programmes, and a team of Portfolio Managers based in London, Delhi and Nairobi. The role will entail
supporting the administration of the Portfolio Management function, maintaining project databases, monitoring
and analysing the performance of CIFF programmes, and undertaking research on specific projects and sector
trends, as required.

Portfolio Managers
The key function of the Portfolio Managers (PMs) is to maximise the impact for children from each investment
that is made. They have accountability for CIFF’s programmes within a designated geography or for a key
organisational relationship. These senior roles will be responsible for multi-million dollar portfolios, developing
and coordinating CIFF’s approach and driving the performance of investments to achieve the most for children. Note there are two roles: one based in New Delhi and one based in Nairobi.

Fellowships
The CIFF Fellowship programme is designed to help meet CIFF’s ambitious objectives by supporting
performance measurement and effectiveness and portfolio management functions. Positions will be based
in CIFF’s London or Nairobi office.
Fellows will serve as analysts, working as an integrated member of the CIFF team, performing research, analysis and program support functions, as well as managing special projects and initiatives.
