Vineet Bewtra has primary responsibility for overseeing investment opportunities within CIFF’s Educational Achievement portfolio. He is responsible for assessing delivery models and risks associated with investments and for collaborating with potential partners to ensure that funded initiatives have a high probability of success. Prior to joining CIFF, he worked for fourteen years in investment banking, specialising in asset and cashflow-based principal transactions and structured finance. He was instrumental in closing more than $25 billion of transactions and $10 billion of risk positions across a range of sectors, and left in early 2007 as a Managing Director running a highly-profitable, market-leading business with a seat on the Underwriting Committee of his employer. Since July 2007, he has been a trustee and non-executive board member of Concern Worldwide (UK), a leading international humanitarian organisation. Vineet received his BA (Hons) from Clare College, Cambridge University and an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics.
