Tomo Hamakawa is a Portfolio Analyst for CIFF programmes in India. He assists with the implementation of programmes, including measuring their performance and effectiveness. Tomo has worked for international and local development NGOs across Asia and Africa. Prior to joining CIFF, he worked for the Bridge Fund in Tibet building the capacity of local staff and developing performance measurement. At UNICEF India, he was part of a research team that conducted a study on nutrition, immunisation, and caste-based discrimination in the state of Jharkand, India. Tomo has a BA in Social Anthropology, a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University, and was a fellow in the Asia Pacific Leadership Program at the East-West Centre.
