Kate Hampton

Kate Hampton joined CIFF in March 2009 as Director of the Special Initiative on Climate Change. Formerly Head of Policy at Climate Change Capital, Kate has advised asset managers and multinational energy companies on the development of policy-driven markets. She has also advised policy makers in a number of roles including as a Sherpa to the EU High Level Group on Competitiveness, Energy and Environment and as a Senior Policy Advisor to DEFRA for the UK’s G8 and EU Presidencies. Previously, Kate was Head of the Climate Change Campaign for Friends of the Earth International and Convenor of the Green Globe Network, an advisory group to the FCO. Kate holds a BSc from the London School of Economics and a Master in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. In 2008, Kate was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
