Donald Peck is an adviser to CIFF on the quality and rigour of its investment processes. Donald has spent more than 30 years investing in emerging markets, including a 12-year stint building venture capital businesses in India. From 1978-88 he advised companies investing in Latin America, followed by three years at IFC in Washington, investing equity in smaller companies in the emerging markets of Latin America and Eastern Europe. Donald managed until 2008 a number of funds in India for the UK Government-owned Commonwealth Development Corporation. Since 2006 he has also been the founder and mentor of a social venture capital fund investing in for-profit micro-finance businesses in India. He is also on the Boards of Trustees of Institute for Public Policy Research and Foundation Rachel & Pamela Schiele. Donald holds a D.Phil in Economic History from the University of Oxford.
