Colin Hugh Buckley is the Executive Director for Investments at CIFF. Prior to joining CIFF, Colin directed approximately $400 million in programs in Georgia for the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). After the Russo-Georgian war of 2008, he advised the Prime Minister of Georgia on the country’s economic reconstruction. Prior to joining MCC, Colin worked in a number of roles for the International Finance Corporation focussing on corporate governance in the former Soviet Union. Colin began his career as an attorney specialising in international corporate finance. He practiced as a US attorney and a UK solicitor in Boston and London. Among other deals, he helped structure the first international merger of internet companies worth over $1 billion. Colin received his BA and JD degrees from The College of William and Mary and an LLM degree from Cambridge University. He serves as a director of the Georgia Regional Development Fund, a development investment fund located in the Republic of Georgia.
